Thanksgiving in Horseshoe Bay Texas

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
We had such a great Thanksgiving this year. My dad took us to Horseshoe Bay not only for Thanksgiving but also for my wonderful mother's ? Birthday. I put in the question mark because I am not sure if she wants me to share with everyone her age. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! We had a wonderful time seeing friends and family.

The kids on the airplane on the way to Texas. This was an easy plane ride. I wish that I could say the same for the flight home. Haven was not having it that night.

Eating dinner after we got to Texas. Haven loved eating the corn on the cob but realized it is easier if I just cut it off for her.

The boys played 18 hole of putt putt golf and Haven and I watch.

Mima and Papa got these Texas Longhorn clothes for the kids to watch the Texas game in. Don't they look so cute. I think they would make great little Longhorns that is if they do not go to ACU.

So I dressed the kids up all nice to take lictures of them together for our Christmas card. Jake did great! He was listening so well. Haven on the other hand did not want to stand still. So all the pictures of her are action shots. I did not get one of them together that I just loved. But these of them did turn out cute.

The resot tthat we stayed in had a family fun day with lot of games food, face painting and more. Jake had a great time playing all of the game getting his face painted, holding a parrot, and making s'mores. This picture is of him playing a game.

Haven and Papa hangout watching everything going on.

The last night we were there we went to a walk through Christmas light. Jake and Haven loved them. Haven waved at eveything that we walked by and still waves at every Christmas tree she sees even our own.

Mima and Papa with the kids in the tunnel of lights.

Thank you so much for the wonderful trip to Horseshoe Bay. We had a great time. Lets do it again sometime.

Just wanted to share some pictures of my sweet baby niece Carly. This is my brothers little girl. I took a short trip to Texas and was able to spend some time with some family. It was so good to see all of my nieces and nephews. Can't wait till the next time I see them again.

"All I want for Chistmas"

Jake lost, with help from me and some serious kicking and screaming, his two front bottom teeth tonight. Grandpa gave us some of his "special" numbing medication that allowed me to twist them out almost simultaneously. Jake was so scared but now he is so proud. He thinks it is cool that he talks a little funny and he can spit through the hole in his mouth. These teeth HAD to come out. His permanent teeth are already about a 1/4 of the way in and have been on the verge of falling out for about 4 weeks.
Another memory and milestone reached. The only question left: How nice is the Tooth Fairy going to be? I think Jake and the Tooth Fairy have a different idea on how much those teeth are worth.

Happy Halloween!!!

What a Halloween weekend we had. So many thing going on it was just great. On Halloween we went to an engagement party for Brandon and Caitlin at the Hicks house. Kirby cooked his amazing fajitas. All the Hicks friends were there to celebrate. After a couple of hours at the party we went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Mandy and the girls went with us to some houses so Jake really enjoyed that. After they left, just our family went to some more homes. It was so nice to be with our small family and just enjoy walking around together. Haven just loved going from house to house and get num nums. She was a little over whelmed with the fact that you can go to anyone's house and they would let her get some candy. And let me tell you she loves the candy. I am having a hard time getting her to eat anything but candy. Jake, of course, had a great time with it all. We ran into some kids that go to his school and he thought that was cool. After our fun walk around the neighborhood we went back to the Hicks and sat around the fire while Brandon played his guitar and sang. Brandon even played Haven her Birthday song. She loves to hear it. Thanks Brandon! Here are some pictures from that fun Halloween night. Jake is a pirate and Haven is a fairy. They both looked great. Haven just loved her tutu, wings, and boots. She did not want to take any of it off.

Pumpkin carving

Carving Pumpkins was fun this year. Jake really never has anything to do with it. He hates the smell and looks of the stuff inside. We make him pretend to help Regan just for a picture every year. Haven was interested in what was going on but really just wanted to look at it all. Jake wanted a vampire pumpkin and Haven got the bright light one. They both had fun looking at the for a couple of day but now they both have mold in them so they are outside. I hate to trash them when they still look good so till the mold starts growing on the outside of them I will keep them outside.
