The Cyphert's visit

This weekend was great! Some of our closest friends came in town to visit. When we moved to AZ I started going to a play group with one of Regan's friends from high school school, Christa. Through this play group I met the most amazing group of girls. There are four of us that became very close and they are the girls that help me feel at home here in AZ. They will always be wonderful and amazing friends. God has blessed my life by putting these 3 beautiful women in my life. Our families have become very close over the years and we would all get together about once a week. Almost a year ago the Cyphert family moved to CO. Although we have missed them dearly, and hope that they move back someday, they are happy living in the beautiful Colorado Mountains.
We truly enjoyed their visit and had such a great time getting all four families back together again. Here are some of the pictures that I took.

The girls: Sara, Tina, Christa, and Me. The girls are so beautiful on the inside and out.
Love you all so much!

Summer Fun!!

The past 2 weeks we have been spending our time in the backyard on our new water slide that some great friends of ours gave to us. We are so thankful for this gift. It has made the beginning of our summer in the heat more fun. Jake has loved every minute of it and Haven has to get used to it every time we get it out. After an hour or so Haven will get used to it and play at the bottom of the slide. Here are some pictures of the kids and our dearest friends playing on the slide having a wonderful time. Thanks to the Thompson family for the slide. Thanks to Mandy, Rachel and Zoe for coming over and playing at our house. We had a wonderful time.

Jake and the girls. Rachel and Zoe are "The Girls". Jake calls them that.

Mima came to visit

Mima came to visit us a couple of weeks ago. During that time Haven went to another trial gymnastics class and liked it. She really was getting the hang of things by the time it was over. If only it was a 2 hour class she would have been doing everything. I am going to put her in a class when Jake is back in school.

Here she is when we first got there. She was not to sure about things

Jumping on the trampoline. At first she wanted to hold my hand or Mima's but she did get used to it

She took a while to get on this. She would call this the boat.

This was round 2 for the rings.

Walking on a big trampoline. She would not do this by herself.

We filed up our baby pool for Haven and Jake. Here is Jake getting water out for a water gun. He is such a good looking kids.

Haven playing in the water. This is what her hair looks like after a nap and usually the rest of the night, unless we go somewhere

Jake's Last day of First Grade

Thursday May 27 was Jake's last day of school. He had a half day that was just full of playing, saying goodbye and signing yearbooks. I came for the last 10 min of class just to say my goodbye's. Jake was not being himself but I just thought that he was sad about school being out. He told me that his stomach hurt and he wanted to go home. You see, 2 days before this Haven had a stomach bug. So when he wanted to leave I said okay. I told him he needed to take one last picture with his teacher and to get his report card from her and we would go. Well after I took this picture, he came and sat down and puked on the floor. I felt so bad for him.

This is a picture that Haven took. She took many more of the whole thing but I don't think anyone would want to see.

Jake we are so proud you. You are a great student. Your teacher told us you are one of the top kids in reading, spelling and math. She also informed us that you are the nicest kid in the class and can get along with everyone. You have made us so proud. You have grown up so much in the past year. You are a wonderful son, friend, student, and Christian boy. Keep up the great work. I can't believe you are going to be a big second grader next year. Time sure does fly by. We love you so much Jake.
