My boy turned 8. I can not believe how time flies. He is getting so big. Jake just finished up second grade with all E (which are A) and will be moving on to third grade. Wow!
We celebrated his birthday a couple of days early with Pj and Grandpa with dinner and ice cream and they got to open there presents. Thank you PJ and Grandpa for taking us out for our children's special day. We all had a great time.
Some how my pictures got all out of order so I will explain his Birthday party as well. He decided that he wanted a Lego party. What a fun theme for a boy. It was a huge hit. I used PJ mason jars and other glass containers and filled them with Jake Lego's for decor. We spray painted bubble wrap green for the table runner and put it over orange table cloth. Used cinder blocks and set up all of Jake's guys on them at each end of the table to give the table some depth. I had a sweet lady make him the coolest Lego cake that tasted great.
He invited about 16 friends from school and we had a bounce house and gave everyone a Lego packet. What a hit those were. Thanks to everyone who was able to help make my boys party a success. Thank you Mima for helping me pick up right after Havens party and decorate for Jake's. Thank you Mima and Papa for coming out for the weekend.
