Trip to the ER

It looks like Natalie's previous post was not accurate. We thought things were finally getting better around here but we couldn't have been more wrong. I got home from work around 5:45ish and met Natalie and the kids at the Hicks house around the corner. They walked there to let Ruby out and pick some tomatoes. We drove home and Natalie started dinner. As Natalie sat down to eat in the lazyboy and Jake and I were playing the wii, disaster struck. Haven stepped on a toy and began to cry, Natalie picked her up, she quite crying and then put her back down. A few seconds after that she was walking toward me, turned back toward Natalie, tilted her head to the side a little like she was looking under the couch for a toy and she fell to the ground. Her eyes were rolled back and I thought she was chocking on something, Natalie yelled that she was having a seizure (which I have never experienced...). I had my finger in her mouth, cause I thought she was choking and yelling at Natalie to call 911. She had lock jaw on my finger, and became very stiff. This was the scariest 5 minutes of my life. Holding my baby girl and she was practically lifeless in my arms. Jake was screaming at the top of his lungs and crying "I don't want her to die." It was SCARY. I had Jake come over by me, we said a prayer together while Natalie talked to 911. Haven finally came out of it and the fire department showed up. All her vials seemed okay to them but they said they wanted us to get in the ambulance and go to the hospital just to make sure. We spent almost 4 hours there, Haven cried most of the time. They took blood and urine tests and thank God they all came back normal. We will be taking her to Phoenix Children's hospital on Monday to see the Chief Pediatrci Neurologist for more tests to make sure everything is ok. Natalie is a wreck and can't sleep, I am not sure I will do much sleeping tonight as I am wide awake. All I can say is life is precious, and events like this really make you aware of that fact. Be thankful for today and make the best of it! Thank God for taking care of my little girl. Thank you for the firemen and hopsital staff that comforted us and took care of Haven tonight. Thanks to my parents for rushing over to help out with Jake even though he was mezomorized by the TV in the waiting room, therfore ignoring everyone around him. Thanks for great neighbors that watched and calmed Jake down ouside while we were with the firemen.
