Happy 7th Birthday Jake!!!!

Jake and his freind Seth had the coolest Birthday Party! Regan and Brian made marshmellow guns for all the boys and Julie had shirts made that said "I survived the great marshmellow war 2010." We made the boys feel like they were in the Army. They had to do drills running through tires, pushups, sit ups, etc. Then after all the "hard work" they got to go crazy with the Marshmellos guns. Everyone had a blast! We are so proud of our big 7 year old. He is such a great big brother and friend to everyone. Keep up the good work buddy!

Chubby Bunny, this was HILARIOUS!
More Chubby Bunny. I think they got to about 20 small marshmellows in their mouth and then they started gagging.
Ready, Aim, Fire. Practicing before the war.
Regan had to hide in here for protection from the 17, 6-7 yr olds.

Presents!!!
This bike is fun! Highly recommended for other kids this age.

Jake vs. Food

There is a TV show that our family likes to watch, Man vs. Food. This is Jake and his quadruple layer peanut butter sandwich. Jake has started to make his lunch on the weekend some and when he is really hungry this is what he will do. The first time he did this my family was in town for our Christmas. He came into the TV room where everyone was and said "Jake vs. Food" I bet I can eat this in 1 minute...count to 60. It was so funny. I just love this little guy, he is growing up way to fast.

Camping and the Lava Tube - Flagstaff, AZ

Jake and I went camping this last weekend in Flagstaff, AZ. We had a great time together. We left Saturday around one. I realized the Cards were in camp when we got to Flag so we stopped by to see Kurt and Matt throw a few passes. After fighting the thousands of fans we headed into the forest to set up camp. Natalie got me a tent for Father's Day that was much easier to put up in the backyard with her help (see previous post.) Once Jake and I managed to get the tent up it was time for some hot dogs over the fire. (Jake probably asked if we could eat on-thousand times during the 30 minutes it took to unpack the truck and set up the tent.) After a few marshmallows we attempted a walk into the forest. The possibility of running into a bear quickly changed mind and decided we should just go to bed. We played a few games in the tent and then went to sleep. (After the phone call to mommy, amazed my phone worked out there.) The next morning we cooked some eggs and packed up so we could go hike the Lava Tube. You need to check out this web page to learn more, it was fascinating. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/recreation/peaks/lava-river-cave.shtml This was a perfect first hike for Jake and I. We had our flashlights shining all over the walls looking at the cool lava formations and watching each step to make sure we didn't step in a crack. After our hike we made some lunch and then headed home. As soon as we got in the car Jake asked if he could watch TV because he had gone a "WHOLE" day without it. He was a good kiddo!

Happy New Year's - San Carlos, Mexico

We spent a week in San Carlos, Mexico at Grandpa & PJ's house for the New Year. The weather was awesome and we all had a blast. The trip back across the border was a NIGHTMARE, it took eight hours to go 6 miles. Every mexican family that lives in the states were trying to get their kids home for school on Monday just like us. Well, enjoy some pics of the kids and family at the beach.

The next 2 pictures is how we spent part of the 8 hours at the border. No car seats for the kids and no restrooms for the adults...don't ask.

Guess Who??

Jake and Haven in the same Pumpkin Halloween costume at age 6 months (since their b-days are only 4 days apart we can do this). Can you tell the difference? Note: I did not put the cutest one of Haven up because her dimple is a total give away.

Haven - 7 months old

Haven's new trick: Sticking her tongue out. She has stopped rolling it and she just like to have it hanging out at all times. Thank you to the Hicks family for this cute little dress.
Jake and his best girl friends (the Davis Girls). Nov. 22 at Jake's soccer game. Thanks for coming Davis family.
Me and Jake at his soccer game Nov. 15. It was so cold that day.
Check out this cutie. We just love her so much. She definitely brings joy to this family.

Haven is now 7 month old and I cannot believe how fast it has gone by. She is so busy just like her brother was. She loves to sit or stand and is very close to crawling. She just loves to watch her brother. Haven enjoys being outside and watching other children play. She likes to watch dogs or other moving things as well. They all make her laugh. She is still sleeping well and has started eating baby food and some table food. This little baby is such a miracle and we love her and Jake so much. God has sure blessed our family.

Hamster

So the other day we are out in the garage cleaning. Jake had been riding his bike and scooter and playing tennis. Then I hear "Hey mom look at me I am a hamster" This is what he was doing. What a funny kid he is.
