Trip to the ER

It looks like Natalie's previous post was not accurate. We thought things were finally getting better around here but we couldn't have been more wrong. I got home from work around 5:45ish and met Natalie and the kids at the Hicks house around the corner. They walked there to let Ruby out and pick some tomatoes. We drove home and Natalie started dinner. As Natalie sat down to eat in the lazyboy and Jake and I were playing the wii, disaster struck. Haven stepped on a toy and began to cry, Natalie picked her up, she quite crying and then put her back down. A few seconds after that she was walking toward me, turned back toward Natalie, tilted her head to the side a little like she was looking under the couch for a toy and she fell to the ground. Her eyes were rolled back and I thought she was chocking on something, Natalie yelled that she was having a seizure (which I have never experienced...). I had my finger in her mouth, cause I thought she was choking and yelling at Natalie to call 911. She had lock jaw on my finger, and became very stiff. This was the scariest 5 minutes of my life. Holding my baby girl and she was practically lifeless in my arms. Jake was screaming at the top of his lungs and crying "I don't want her to die." It was SCARY. I had Jake come over by me, we said a prayer together while Natalie talked to 911. Haven finally came out of it and the fire department showed up. All her vials seemed okay to them but they said they wanted us to get in the ambulance and go to the hospital just to make sure. We spent almost 4 hours there, Haven cried most of the time. They took blood and urine tests and thank God they all came back normal. We will be taking her to Phoenix Children's hospital on Monday to see the Chief Pediatrci Neurologist for more tests to make sure everything is ok. Natalie is a wreck and can't sleep, I am not sure I will do much sleeping tonight as I am wide awake. All I can say is life is precious, and events like this really make you aware of that fact. Be thankful for today and make the best of it! Thank God for taking care of my little girl. Thank you for the firemen and hopsital staff that comforted us and took care of Haven tonight. Thanks to my parents for rushing over to help out with Jake even though he was mezomorized by the TV in the waiting room, therfore ignoring everyone around him. Thanks for great neighbors that watched and calmed Jake down ouside while we were with the firemen.

Haven at the Science Center

Ok so here how our Memorial Weekend started. Jake woke up in the middle of the night Friday throwing up. He chose to sleep on our bathroom floor and Regan sleep with him the first hour. I switched with Regan and sleep with him the rest of the night. Saturday I took in to the Dr. and he had double ear infection plus a virus. Sunday we took the kids to the Science Center here in Phoenix. Jake felt well enough to go and we all wanted to get out of the house. We had great time. Monday we took the kids to go fishing and play at the park. Tuesday Regan went back to work and Jake was given his chore list for the summer so I had to teach him how to do them. He cleans his bathroom and dust's his room once a week (he has chosen to do it every Tuesday) and he has to make his bed everyday. Wednesday Haven wakes up really moody and starts to throw up. She gets sick 15 times by the end of the day. What a disaster I tell you. she got sick on Thursday twice and today Friday she has not gotten sick at all. She seems to be feeling better. Thank you God. I think that we are on the up and up now. Let just pray that Regan and I do not get it as well.

Jake's last day's of School..Class of 2021!

The last week of school has been fun but crazy. On Monday night the whole kindergarten had a program. They showed a video of pictures of all the kids throughout the year and then the kids came out and sang some songs that they had learned that year. It was very cute. I think I even got a little sad during it. It is just hard to believe that he is going to be a 1st grader next year. Wow how time flies. Then on Wednesday he had field day in the morning and water day in the afternoon. He had a great time and was so tired when he got home. Thursday was his last day and it was a half day. They played all morning and made a memory book, then had an ice cream party. It was hard to say good bye to all of his friends and teacher but we are looking forward to the summer and all the things that we have planned. Here are some pictures of Jake's last week of school. Jake we are so proud of you and all the hard work that you have done this year. You are a wonderful son. I love to see God working in your life.

Fun in the Sun

Last week my mom came to AZ to watch the kids while Regan and I went to Jimmy Buffet. I am so thankful that she was willing to come and do that for us. The kids had a great time with her. On Friday when Jake got out of school we went to swim. Here are a few pictures from the pool.
